Temple of Karnak, Luxor, Egypt
Luxor, on the site of ancient Thebes in Upper Egypt, boasts a matchless concentration of ancient ruins. The most astounding is the Temple of Karnak, part of a complex that dates from as early as 2000 B.C. It sprawls across 100 acres, and includes the awe-inspiring Great Hypo-style Hall, which features 134 hieroglyphic-clad columns 70 feet high and 33 feet around.
The Temple of Karnak is a vast temple complex in Luxor dedicated primarily to Amun-Ra, the great and mighty sun god. It dates from 1400 BC and second only to the Great Pyramids in tourist popularity. You can explore it further here.
It is also mentioned Biblical scholars believe in the Book of Numbers xxxiii and Book of Joshua xv both citations shown on this map and demonstrated in the Archaeological Bible (page 243 v. 2010 Zondervan)
